Labour Community Advocate Training Level 1
4730A 50 St
Red Deer, AB T4N 1X2
Every Labour Community Advocate has the opportunity to make a real contribution to the labour movement and the community by providing information to fellow workers. Labour Community Advocates alleviate suffering and build morale in their locals. The Labour Community Advocate is trained to listen, refer, follow-up, and take union action where appropriate. Through the Labour Community Advocate course, he/she learns about the services and facilities available in the area and learns communication and interviewing skills. The Labour Community Advocate is the link between the worker with a problem and the needed social services in the community.
